BIOXS uses Health Connect to read data that compatible apps share on your Android phone. This brings activity, sleep and other available metrics alongside your personal records without entering every measurement by hand.
How it works
- Check that your source app shares data with Health Connect.
- Allow the data types you want BIOXS to read.
- Review the available metrics alongside your other records.
From your device to your dashboard
The data route matters: a watch or band records a metric, its app shares it with Health Connect, and BIOXS reads it with your permission. A device measuring something does not mean its app exports it.
- Compatibility depends on both the device and its app.
- Steps may be available while HRV or sleep stages are not.
- BIOXS uses Health Connect for reading; it does not offer two-way synchronization of your records.
Permissions and missing data
If a metric is missing, first check that it exists in the source app, is shared with Health Connect, and BIOXS has permission to read it. Missing data should not be interpreted as zero or as a change in your health.
Frequently asked questions
Does Health Connect directly connect any watch?
No. BIOXS needs a compatible app to write data to Health Connect. Universal compatibility with a brand is not guaranteed.
Can I choose which data to share?
Reading depends on the permissions you grant. Removing a permission may limit features that need that data.
Does this integration work on iPhone?
This integration is for Android. BIOXS for iOS is in development with a separate waiting list.
