Understand how your wearable data reaches BIOXS

View compatibility by brand and app

A smartwatch may measure more than it shares with other apps. BIOXS brings together data available through Health Connect. Compatibility depends on the app and data type, not just a brand logo.

How it works

  1. Identify your wearable model and the app that synchronizes it.
  2. Check which data that app exports to Health Connect.
  3. Grant the relevant permissions and check which metrics arrive.

What to check before connecting

For Garmin, Fitbit, Xiaomi, Samsung, Amazfit, Zepp or other devices, consult the documentation for the specific source app. These brand names do not certify direct integration or support for every model.

  • Device model, Android version and source app version.
  • Health Connect export enabled and recent data in the source app.
  • Shared data types: steps, sleep, heart rate, workouts or other metrics.
  • Granted permissions and any background synchronization restrictions.

One source, different metrics

Heart rate and heart rate variability (HRV) are different data types. Having one does not guarantee the other. Similarly, sleep duration and sleep stages depend on what the source app shares.

Without a watch

BIOXS also includes manual records for metrics, meals and symptoms. They add context, but do not replace sensor measurements or automatically create data you have not recorded.

Frequently asked questions

Does BIOXS connect directly to my fitness band?

The integration described here reads Health Connect. Do not assume a direct Bluetooth connection or a separate API integration for each manufacturer.

Will I see exactly what is in my watch app?

Not necessarily. Exported data, synchronization timing and metric detail can differ.

How can I ask about a specific setup?

Email contact@bioxs.app with your model, Android version, source app and intended metrics. You do not need to send medical reports for a compatibility question.
